Super Group has promoted Chief of Staff and Chief People Officer Kirsty Ross to the role of COO, where she will focus on helping teams operate effectively, scale sustainably and deliver on long-term priorities.
“Over the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with teams across the business, supporting our leaders, strengthening how we operate and helping to connect strategy with execution, and I’m excited to continue building on the strong foundations already in place,” Ross said.
“Super Group is a business driven by talented people, clear ambition and a global mindset. Thank you to my colleagues for the support, trust and continued collaboration. I’m looking forward to what’s ahead.”
Ross will step into the COO role in addition to her responsibilities as Super Group Chief of Staff and Chief People Officer, having originally joined the operator during October 2023.
Her prior experiences include serving as Chief People Officer and South Africa CEO for Renaissance Capital across a 13-year tenure, as well as Human Resources Director for Bank of America.
Just one day prior to Ross’ appointment, Super Group reported its financial activity for the first quarter of 2026, as net revenue climbed 18% to $612m, while adjusted EBITDA totaled $152m and increased 36%.
The operator managed to set quarterly highs in net revenue, monthly active customers, deposits and wagering, while profit for the period increased 45.8% to $86m. Despite the quarterly highs and profit increase, Super Group reported a 14.5% decrease in comprehensive income to $65m.
Monthly active customers reached 6.4 million players and increased 18%, while net cash flows from operating activities decreased 75.8% to $87m.
Super Group, bet365 and SkyCity were reportedly subject to legal proceedings filed with the High Court of Auckland on April 21 against their respective offshore online gaming activities
