Bally's Corporation has appointed gaming executive Tom Pohlman as President of Bally's Atlantic City, adding new leadership at one of the company's flagship casino properties during a period of continued expansion across its US operations.
Announcing the appointment on LinkedIn, Pohlman described Bally's Atlantic City as a property with a rich history and significant opportunities for future growth. He said he was looking forward to working alongside the existing team to build on the resort's position in one of the country's most recognisable gaming destinations.
The appointment comes as Bally's continues executing a wider growth strategy across both its land-based and digital businesses.
The company recently reported second-quarter revenue of $792.2m, up 20.5% year-on-year, with growth supported by strong performances from its Intralot B2B and B2C operations. Revenue for the first half of 2026 increased 22% to $1.55bn, while its casinos and resorts division remained the group's largest revenue contributor.
Bally's has also continued to expand its regional casino portfolio. Earlier this month, the company completed its acquisition of Sam's Town Shreveport from Boyd Gaming following regulatory approval in Louisiana. The property is expected to strengthen Bally's presence in the state as it explores opportunities to enhance its gaming and hospitality offering.
At the same time, the operator continues to face challenges elsewhere. Construction of much of the non-gaming portion of Bally's permanent Chicago casino development has been temporarily suspended following a dispute with city officials over the expansion of video gaming terminals. While work on the casino itself remains on schedule for an early 2027 opening, the disagreement has delayed progress on the planned hotel, restaurants and entertainment facilities.
Despite the setback in Chicago, Bally's has reiterated its long-term commitment to the project while continuing to pursue expansion across both its regional casino portfolio and digital gaming businesses. The appointment of Pohlman adds another experienced executive to the company's leadership team as it seeks to support the next phase of growth.
